GMA Network has unveiled two new shows last week, the primetime drama series ‘Beauty Empire’ and popular Chinese drama ‘Hidden Love’, how did they perform in TV ratings?

On Monday, July 7, ‘Beauty Empire’ debuted on GMA Primetime, and according to the latest ratings report from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, the series scored an early win against rival ‘Sins of the Father (SOTF)’.
On its pilot episode, ‘Beauty Empire’ registered a rating of 4.7 percent, outpacing its rival SOTF by 1.3 percent which earned a rating of 3.4 percent. This debut figure also matched the finale week average of its predecessor, PBB Collab (excluding the Big Night), signaling a smooth transition in the timeslot.
‘Hidden Love’ on the other hand, posted a pilot ratings of 1.9 percent, typical for its time slot and genre.
The following day, Tuesday, July 8, ‘Beauty Empire’ experienced a slight dip, slashing 0.1 percent to 4.6 percent but maintain its number 11 position on the ratings chart. SOTF meanwhile maintained its 3.4 percent ratings. Likewise, ‘Hidden Love’ also dropped by 0.3 percent to 1.6 percent.
On Wednesday, July 9, the Barbie Forteza-starrer drama series quickly bounced back, registering a rating of 4.8 percent and still on top of its timeslot against SOTF’s which climbed slightly to 3.7 percent. ‘Hidden Love’, meanwhile sustained its previous rating of 1.6 percent.
‘Beauty Empire’ continued its upward momentum on Thursday, July 10 posting another 0.2 percent ratings increase to 5.0 percent, further widening its gap against SOTF which scored 3.5 percent. ‘Hidden Love’ on the other hand remains on flat line as it score another 1.6 percent.
With ‘Beauty Empire’ gaining traction and consistently outperforming its rival, the question now is whether it can sustain this lead in the coming weeks, or if SOTF will recalibrate and mount a comeback.
