Cignal Play is redefining Filipino storytelling with the launch of Cignal Play Microdrama, a new slate of emotionally charged, under-five-minute vertical series made for quick consumption on smartphones and tablets.

Unveiled in a star-studded media conference at the Cignal Launchpad Lobby in TV5, Mandaluyong, the event was led by MediaQuest & Cignal President & CEO Jane J. Basas, TV5 and MQuest Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan, and other top executives. The venue transformed into an immersive microdrama experience, complete with LED screens, interactive touchpoints, and real-life vignettes of the new shows.
“Whether you’re on a quick break or a late-night binge, there’s a microdrama for you,” said Basas. “We believe storytelling has the power to connect, inspire, and transform. With Cignal Play Microdrama, we’re delivering short, impactful, and relatable content to Filipinos everywhere.”

“This isn’t just a new format. It’s a new way to connect with audiences,” said Cignal Chief Revenue Officer Gerard Milan. “One minute you’re laughing, the next you’re crying – that’s the Cignal Play Microdrama magic.”

Rising actor Dylan Menor, who stars in two microdramas, shared his excitement during the launch: “It’s overwhelming but fulfilling. As long as you trust your craft and work hard, opportunities will keep coming.”
Menor, who also appeared in GMA Network’s ‘MAKA’, hopes to land lead roles in future action and rom-com projects.
