Daniel Padilla continues to elevate Filipino talent on the global stage after being named Outstanding Asian Star at the 2025 Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) for his performance in the ABS-CBN action-thriller series ‘Incognito’.

Portraying the role of Andres Malvar, aka “Wolf,” Padilla impressed both fans and critics with his compelling turn as a conflicted undercover operative. His win was officially announced by ‘ASAP’ via Instagram on Friday, July 25, with the caption:
“Big congratulations to Daniel Padilla for earning global recognition as the Philippines’ Outstanding Asian Star at the 2025 Seoul International Drama Awards for his performance in Incognito! Your talent continues to shine on the world stage — we’re proud of you, DJ!”
This marks Padilla’s first win and second nomination at the SDAs, having previously been nominated in 2023 for 2 Good 2 Be True opposite then-girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo.
The Outstanding Asian Star is a fan-voted award recognizing standout TV performances from actors across Asia whose work resonates beyond their home countries. Padilla joins a growing list of Kapamilya stars who have earned the honor: Belle Mariano (2022), Kathryn Bernardo (2023), and Kim Chiu (2024).
‘Incognito’, which wrapped its first season earlier this month, has been praised for its gripping narrative and ensemble cast including Richard Gutierrez, Ian Veneracion, Baron Geisler, Kaila Estrada, Maris Racal, and Anthony Jennings. Its season finale hinted at a possible continuation, leaving fans eager for more.

Meanwhile, talent runs deep in the Padilla family. Daniel’s youngest sister, Carmella Ford, recently signed with Star Magic to officially begin her showbiz journey, with their mother Karla Estrada proudly present during the contract signing.
The 2025 Seoul International Drama Awards ceremony is set for October 2 at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, South Korea.
