Janella Salvador is now at the center of swirling third-party rumors involving recently separated couple Klea Pineda and Katrice Kierulf — all while promoting an upcoming queer-centric film, ‘Open Endings’, with Klea.

Tensions began to rise online after Katrice, Klea’s ex-girlfriend, was seen liking several comments on TikTok that named Janella as the alleged third party. This came shortly after Klea confirmed the breakup through a heartfelt black-and-white photo set and message, where she assured fans there was no cheating involved.
“Sobrang proud akong sabihin ‘yun na ‘no,’” Klea said during her ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ interview. “Hindi ko kayang gawin ‘yun kay Kat kasi masyado kong mahal si Kat, ayoko nang makita siyang nasasaktan pa.”
But that assurance wasn’t enough to stop speculation—especially after netizens noticed Katrice interacting with posts that implied Janella and Klea were more than just friends. One TikTok user even claimed to have spotted the two actresses together in BGC recently, a comment that Katrice liked. Another claimed that Janella has long identified as bisexual in private, adding to the fuel.

Though Janella has yet to address the controversy, she and Klea are co-stars in ‘Open Endings’, an official entry to Cinemalaya 2025. The film, also starring Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Leanne Mamonong, tells the story of four queer women who remain best friends despite their romantic pasts.
Klea, a proud LGBTQIA+ advocate since coming out in 2023, had been public about her relationship with Katrice, who previously expressed support for ‘Open Endings’. That relationship, however, came to an end this July, with Klea stating that their priorities had changed.
As of writing, Janella has remained silent amid the speculation. Katrice, meanwhile, has not issued an official statement but continues to like comments naming Janella as the supposed reason for their breakup.
Whether this is all promotional noise or rooted in reality, fans are eager to hear the full story — especially as ‘Open Endings’ heads to its Cinemalaya debut.
LionhearTV remains open to publishing the sides of Janella Salvador, Klea Pineda, and Katrice Kierulf.
