Following her historic win in ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’, Mika Salamanca continues to trend—not just for her recent victory with Brent Manalo as ‘BreKa,’ but also for a wave of childhood videos that have resurfaced and captured the hearts of netizens.

One of Mika’s managers took to Facebook to explain the origin of the viral clips. “So I asked Mika san galing yung viral videos nya nung bata sya bilang all over my timeline ano apparently, galing pala ito sa YT or socmed ni Nanay Bambie (mom nya),” the post began.
The manager shared that the videos were originally meant for Mika’s mother, who was working abroad at the time. “During that time kasi abroad na si Nanay at nasa Pilipinas sina Mika. So para di mangulila si Nanay e pinapadalhan lagi nila ng videos para maaliw at mapangiti ito Kaya naman pala todo perform tong big winner natin o! Cuuute story! Grabe this girl puts so much heart in everything she does Bless your good heart our dear Mika.”

One particularly beloved clip features a young Mika passionately singing Sarah Geronimo’s 2011 hit ‘Sino Nga Ba Siya’—a performance that has now become an inside joke among fans and even her fellow housemates.
Never one to miss out on fun, Mika herself joined in on the trend and recreated the video. “’Wag nyo na akong i-tag, salamat. Chereng!” she joked, as the post quickly gained traction online.
Even fellow housemates Esnyr Ranollo and Bianca de Vera joined the nostalgia, filming their own dramatic rendition of the same song while on a road trip. “DC: [Mika Salamanca],” Esnyr cheekily captioned the clip.
Salamanca and Manalo, collectively known as ‘BreKa,’ were crowned the first-ever duo big winners of ‘PBB: Celebrity Collab Edition’ last July 8, followed by RaWi (Ralph de Leon and Will Ashley), Chares (Charlie Fleming and Esnyr), and AZVer (AZ Martinez and River Joseph).
