Messages of sympathy and support have poured in for comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto after she shared a series of throwback photos on Instagram featuring her estranged husband Trevor Magallanes and their daughter Athena.
The post, which was left without a caption, prompted an emotional reaction from followers and fellow celebrities, many of whom assumed a personal loss had occurred.
“Sending you so much love ❤️ I’m so sorry for your loss ,” wrote actress Maxene Magalona.
Alessandra de Rossi simply commented, “Love you.”
Comedienne Candy Pangilinan offered, “Mahigpit na yakap.”
Rufa Mae’s close friend Ogie Alcasid shared three red heart emojis and three prayer hand emojis, while TV host Christine Bersola-Babao added, “Yakap na mahigpit Peachy.”

Although Quinto has yet to release an official statement, the emotional weight of her post did not go unnoticed. The absence of a caption only deepened speculation that her former partner may have passed away.
In a past interview, Rufa Mae admitted that she still loved Trevor, even after their separation. “Asawa ko pa rin siya at tatay ng anak ko,” she said, but acknowledged that they needed to part ways. “Kailangan na raw naming maghiwalay dahil ayaw na niya sa akin.”
