Pop icon Sarah Geronimo and P-pop powerhouse SB19 are teaming up for the first time on a new single titled ‘Umaaligid,’ which many fans are already hailing as the biggest collaboration of the year in OPM.

The highly anticipated track is set for release on July 30, 2025, with the audio dropping at 12:00 a.m. and the music film premiering at 12:00 p.m.
Geronimo first teased the project on social media with the caption: “Ang bigat ng katahimikan, tila may ikinukubli.”
She added the title ‘Umaaligid’ and the date July 30, followed by more cryptic lyrics: “Inuukit sa pandinig, isinisingit sa isip. Dumarami, tumitindi. Pero kailan naging totoo?”
SB19 quickly reshared the teaser on their official Facebook page, while G Music — the record label founded by Sarah and husband Matteo Guidicelli — reposted the clip on Instagram Stories.

Though first hinted at by SB19 back in 2024, the collaboration came as a welcome surprise to fans of both acts. It brings together two of the most influential names in OPM — with Geronimo representing mainstream pop excellence and SB19 leading the global P-pop wave.
‘Umaaligid’ also marks Sarah Geronimo’s first major release since ‘Life’s A Beautiful Game’ in 2024. Her previous 2023 collaborations included ‘Treading Water’ with Bamboo, ‘Hangganan’ with Jin Chan, and ‘My Mind’ with Billy Crawford. Earlier this year, she also presented the ‘Women of the Year’ award to BINI at Billboard Philippines’ second Women In Music event — a recognition she received herself in 2024.
SB19, on the other hand, are currently touring the globe with their ‘Simula at Wakas’ world tour, following the release of their April 2025 EP of the same name, which features tracks like ‘DAM’ and ‘DUNGKA!’
Fans of both camps — the Popsters and A’TIN — are counting down to July 30 as ‘Umaaligid’ promises to be a milestone not just in each artist’s career, but in OPM history.
