Twelve-member P-Pop boy group ASTER is making waves as they officially launch their first full-length album, ‘Talayag’, under AsterisK Entertainment.
Consisting of Kean, Charlie, Tatin, Gee, Alas, Laurence, Wayne, Loyd, Kiel, Gem, Miguel, and Cray, ASTER is now the largest all-male P-Pop group to date—each member bringing unique talent to form a constellation of voices, moves, and charisma.
Fresh from releasing singles like ‘Bingo’ and ‘Star’, the group’s new album features tracks such as ‘Tala’, ‘Layag’, ‘Munting Tala’, and ‘Isang Minuto’. According to the members, they poured their hearts into the project, with each song reflecting their journey, dreams, and the challenges they’ve faced.
Speaking to the media, leaders Kean and Charlie emphasized that their goal is to uplift the P-Pop movement, not compete with fellow groups like SB19 and BINI.
“Sana malaman din ng lahat ng tao na we have only one goal—to promote P-Pop, to promote our excellence, our music. Sana lang huwag na lang magkaroon ng comparison,” Kean said.
“All groups can shine in one stage. There’s no need na parang…dapat sila lang ang nandito. There’s room for everyone,” Charlie added.
For Wayne, having SB19 and BINI as seniors in the industry is more of an advantage than a challenge.
“Mas advantage na po kasi kami as baguhan… meron na kaming mga senior na ilu-look up po. May mga matututunan kami sa kanila,” he explained. “Still, inspiration pa rin sila sa amin, to be like them.”
ASTER members also shared their dream collaborations, with Shuvee Etrata topping the list, followed by names like Heart Evangelista, Sarah Geronimo, AC Bonifacio, Ivana Alawi, Julia Barretto, Jayda Avanzado, and Kathryn Bernardo.
With ‘Talayag’ now streaming on digital platforms, ASTER hopes fans—both old and new—will join them on their musical voyage. (with reports from Aldrine Benitez)
