Rumors have been spreading online alleging that Gerald Anderson secretly married singer Gigi De Lana and that they already have a child together.
The controversy even pulled in actress Arci Muñoz, with claims that she was pregnant or had given birth “courtesy of Gerald Anderson.”
In the latest episode of ‘Showbiz Update’, entertainment insider Ogie Diaz expressed disbelief over the baseless reports.
“Lihim daw kinasal si Gerald kay Gigi De Lana. Mayro’n daw silang sikretong anak. Tinatago raw nila. May ganyan. At ang nakakaloka dito, lihim daw ’yong pagbubuntis ni Arci Muñoz o nanganak si Arci Muñoz courtesy of Gerald Anderson,” Ogie said.
Clearly exasperated, he warned those behind the stories: “Diyos ko, nakakaloka kayo! Talagang pinipilit n’yo talaga ’yan. Naku, ’pag kayo na-report talaga, promise. ’Yang pinaghirapan n’yong number of followers, mawawala ’yan.”
Diaz also pointed out how these fake news posts often redirect people to unrelated shopping sites when clicked, suggesting that the names of celebrities are being exploited purely to generate traffic and profit.
“Kaya dapat ito, nililinaw na rin ni Gerald Anderson. Na once and for all, linawin na n’ya ’yung mga lumalabas na ito… Halata mo talagang peke,” he added.
Despite the rumors, Gerald remains in a relationship with Julia Barretto. In a recent interview, he shared that he is now more open to marriage.
“I’m closer to that. Kasi kung 5, 3 years ago, tanungin n’yo sa ’kin ’yan, ‘Hindi, hindi.’ But syempre, that’s why I’m doing all of this kasi gusto ko maalagaan ’yong mga anak ko na wala silang iisipin,” Gerald said.
Gerald and Gigi previously starred in ABS-CBN’s ‘Dear Heart’ in 2021, while Gerald and Arci worked together in the films ‘Always Be My Maybe’ and ‘Can We Still Be Friends’.
Last June, Gerald confirmed in ‘Toni Talks’ that he and Julia are still together despite breakup rumors.
