The budding closeness between Barbie Forteza and Jameson Blake has sparked buzz across social media—and even caught the attention of Barbie’s ex-boyfriend, actor Jak Roberto.
In a recent interview with ’24 Oras’ anchor Nelson Canlas, Jak gave a surprisingly supportive response when asked about Barbie and Jameson’s growing friendship.
“Bagay. Bagay. Tsaka it’s about time,” said Jak, who admitted he and Jameson had already talked about Barbie during their time working together on ‘It’s Showtime’.
“Sabi ko kay Jameson, ‘Kung ready ka na’—kasi may mga deep talks kami ni Jameson. Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Mabait si Barbie. Alagaan mo lang.’”
While fans continue to speculate on whether something more than friendship is brewing between Barbie and Jameson, the two have maintained that they are just close friends.
They were first spotted holding hands during a fun run event—something Jameson explained as him simply assisting Barbie in a crowded area. But sightings of them continued, including a moment caught on camera where they were seen hugging in a parking area, and another where they were again holding hands at a gala.
Adding fuel to the speculation, Blake was asked at the GMA Gala about their closeness.
“We’re just enjoying each other’s company,” he said, keeping mum on whether the two are officially dating. “No comment,” he added when asked about their relationship status.
Meanwhile, Barbie’s mom, Amy Forteza, clarified in a separate interview with showbiz columnist Jun Lalin that Jameson is not her daughter’s boyfriend.
Barbie and Jameson are co-stars in the upcoming film Kontrabida Academy, where they will share the screen with veteran actress Eugene Domingo.
