Beauty queen-turned-actress Pearl Gonzales is steadily carving her name in the entertainment industry as TV5’s newest Bida-Kontrabida Queen.
In a recent sit-down interview with selected media, Pearl opened up about her journey, her recent projects, and her dreams in showbiz.
Pearl, who first entered the entertainment scene in 2013, also made her mark in the pageant world, winning Miss Global Philippines 2018 and later joining Miss Universe Philippines 2023 as Miss Quezon City. Today, she is gaining recognition for her acting depth and versatility.
Her latest project, ‘Boys Love Triangle’, directed by Bobby Bonifacio Jr., premieres this August. The series stars Pearl alongside Eian Rances and Michael Ver, with a strong supporting cast that includes Epi Quizon, Phi Palmes, Kid Yambao, EJ Salamante, Daytona, and Mark Grabador.
She was also recently seen in the Cignal Play series ‘I See You’, with Dimples Romana, Joem Bascon, Cedrick Juan, and Zion Cruz, directed by Crisanto Aquino, where she played a kontrabida role that already made waves from its explosive trailer.
When asked about her dream co-stars, Pearl revealed she hopes to work with Enrique Gil as her leading man, and powerhouse actresses like Maricel Soriano, Judy Ann Santos, and Dawn Zulueta.
Despite being linked to Paolo Contis, Pearl clarified they are just friends. For now, she is focused on building her career with the guidance of MQuest Ventures, TV5, and her talent managers Tyrone Escalante and Jeffrey Remigio.
