On August 13, 2025, StarPop (Star Music) Philippines announced via its official social media platforms that Kapuso actor and former ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ housemate Will Ashley has officially signed with the label as a recording artist.
“Welcome to the StarPop PH family, Will Ashley!” the post read.
The move marks another milestone in the ongoing collaboration between GMA Music and ABS-CBN’s Star Music, which previously launched Michelle Dee’s musical career. For GMA Music, the partnership also serves a bigger purpose — strengthening Original Pinoy Music (OPM) on a national level.
Will Ashley, known as one of GMA Network’s promising young actors, most recently finished as the Second Big Placer alongside duo-mate Ralph De Leon in ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’. Dubbed the “Nation’s Son” during his stint, Will gained popularity for his charm and viral moments inside the house.
Aside from his new recording career, Will is set to appear in the upcoming music video for OPM band Hey June’s hit single ‘Lasik’. The casting was revealed through a collaborative Instagram post with Island Records, featuring a polaroid of Will in glasses, a black shirt, and a brown apron.
The project was first teased by his management, Sparkle, in July. Fans got a sneak peek when Will appeared in a TikTok clip of ‘Lasik’ alongside Josh Ford, AZ Martinez, and Ralph De Leon — a video that has since garnered over 1.5 million likes.
Will is also busy filming ‘Bar Boys: After School’, in which he plays Arvin, a working student juggling his job and law school.
