Anne Curtis and Carlo Aquino continue to draw acclaim for their moving performances in the Philippine adaptation of ABS-CBN Studios’ ‘It’s Okay To Not Be Okay’.

At the show’s recent midseason poster launch, Anne — who plays Mia — expressed her gratitude to fans for their heartfelt support.
“Maraming salamat, lalo na kapag sinasabing we lived up to your expectations at kung paano namin nabibigyan ito ng Filipino touch,” she said.
Anne also took the opportunity to commend her co-star Carlo Aquino, whose portrayal of Mat-Mat, a character on the autism spectrum, has been widely praised by viewers.
“All praises for Carlo,” Anne remarked. “’Yung comment na palaging lumalabas, na maraming salamat for showing us how those in the spectrum can function — it really means so much to us.”
Carlo, visibly touched by the response, shared that he hopes the role will help break stereotypes and promote understanding.
“Masaya ako, pero sana ‘yung message mailabas na ‘wag sana silang i-discriminate, kasi high-functioning naman sila,” Carlo said. “Kailangan lang ipaliwanag ‘yung iba sa kanila para maintindihan nila kung nasaan silang sitwasyon.”
