Claudine Barretto has stirred excitement among her fans after dropping a teaser about what could be her biggest television comeback in years.

In a reel posted on her official social media account, the actress—widely regarded as the “Optimum Teleserye Queen”—shared a cryptic announcement: “JUST IN… The OPTIMUM Teleserye Queen… The moment we all have been waiting for… is about to rock primetime television with the glory…”
The reel ended with the hashtag #THEGLORY, while Barretto captioned it with: “Glory to God.”
The post immediately sparked speculation online, with supporters asking if Claudine will topbill the Philippine adaptation of the acclaimed Korean revenge drama ‘The Glory’, originally led by Hallyu star Song Hye-kyo. The Netflix series (2022–2023) followed the story of Moon Dong-eun, a woman who plotted long-awaited revenge against her high school bullies.
Fans flooded the comments section with messages of support, with many saying that Claudine’s dramatic depth makes her a perfect fit for a revenge-driven teleserye. Some, however, questioned why she revealed the news ahead of any official announcement from a network or production outfit, noting that such reveals are usually coordinated. Still, her loyal supporters defended her, saying her excitement was natural after years of waiting for a primetime comeback.
Barretto was last seen in the Viva One series ‘Avenues of the Diamond’ earlier this year, and in GMA Network’s ‘Lovers & Liars’ in 2024.
If confirmed, this new project would mark her highly anticipated return to primetime drama—a genre where she earned her reputation as one of the country’s most iconic queens of teleserye.
