For the first time in years, sisters Claudine and Marjorie Barretto were once again seen in the same place, as both attended the wake of their older brother, Mito Barretto, who passed away on Sept. 22 at the age of 66.

Photos and videos from the wake, held at the Heritage Memorial Chapels in Taguig City, quickly went viral on social media after the public noticed the two siblings together. While they were seen standing apart and engaging separately with visitors, the sight of them under one roof sparked speculation that reconciliation might finally be within reach.
Marjorie was joined by her children Dani, Julia, Claudia, and Leon, who were also present to pay their respects to their late uncle. Dani later shared a family photo on Instagram, imitating her Tito Mito’s signature pose as a tribute.
Visitors and netizens alike expressed hope that the family feud that has long divided the Barrettos is beginning to heal. “Glad that they learned to bury the hatchet,” one commented. Another wrote, “Let’s pray for healing in their families. It’s a good sign na bati na sila.”
Still, others cautioned that it is unclear if Claudine and Marjorie have truly reconciled, pointing out that they were not directly seen conversing during the wake.
The Barretto clan has been known for its public disputes, most notably during the 2019 wake of their father, Miguel Barretto, which escalated into a highly publicized confrontation among the sisters.
In past interviews, Claudine admitted that while she and Marjorie would occasionally cross paths at family gatherings, they had not shared a proper conversation. “We did small talk. That’s good enough,” Claudine said in a 2023 interview with Boy Abunda.
As tributes continue to pour in for Mito, the eldest of the Barretto siblings, many are now wondering if Gretchen Barretto will also attend the final night of her brother’s wake on Sept. 26—an appearance that could further signal unity within the high-profile family.
