Julia Barretto is gearing up for a busy season — with an upcoming teleserye opposite Enrique Gil and the recent launch of her first beauty brand, Bee Bee.

The actress confirmed over the weekend that she will soon reunite with Gil, more than 11 years after their last team-up in the 2014 ABS-CBN series ‘Mira Bella’.
“Now we’re both very much grown,” Julia said, expressing excitement about their onscreen reunion.
She is equally thrilled to work again with director Antoinette Jadaone, who helmed her 2017 film ‘Love You to the Stars and Back’. “I’m excited to work with Direk Tonette again, whom I worked with for Love You to the Stars and Back, in 2017. So both of them ang tagal na rin. So we’re, we’re really excited for this one,” she said.
Filming has not yet started. “It’s still in the works. Ang dami pang pre-prod na kailangang gawin. They’re completing the cast. I’ve heard some na makakasama namin that I’m really excited about. But I think we’re supposed to be launching soon, before we start taping. But hopefully before the year ends,” she explained.
Asked if she is ready for the long hours of teleserye production, Julia quipped, “Eddie Garcia Bill.” The law, which enforces fixed working hours, fair wages, and workplace protections, gives her confidence.
“Ang sarap magtrabaho ngayon because everybody is isang team na. Everybody wants to finish on time. Everybody wants to be productive with their time. Ang dami talagang natuto sa pandemic. So now, productivity and siyempre, respect sa time ng lahat. So, I’m not too worried about the puyatan though it may come. But being physically ready for it, maybe,” she said.
Beyond acting, Julia is also making her mark as an entrepreneur. She recently unveiled Bee Bee, her debut collaboration with Viva Beauty.
“Bee Bee is my love letter to every Filipina. It’s about owning your beauty and embracing who you are,” she shared.
The brand introduced four tinted lip conditioners — Sweet Nectar, Beekeeper, Honey Drip, and Bee You — infused with BeeSpoke Tint technology that adapts to one’s natural lip warmth, plus moisturizing ingredients like shea butter and ceramides. Julia was hands-on in the creative process, from testing to brand identity, ensuring it reflected her values of empowerment, authenticity, and self-love. (with reports from Lau Balocos)
