Ever sent your résumé, aced the interview, and then… silence? You’ve just been “ghosted” — and you’re far from alone.

According to a new survey by Bossjob, the leading AI-powered career platform in the Philippines, 44% of job seekers — that’s over 400 out of 903 respondents — said they’ve experienced being ghosted by potential employers during the recruitment process.
To address this growing frustration in today’s competitive job market, Bossjob launched its Halloween Report 2025 and campaign titled ‘Combating Ghosting in the Job Hiring Process,’ during a media roundtable this week.
The event, led by Nonito Antonio Cuizon, Branding and PR Manager of Bossjob, emphasized the company’s mission to make job hunting more transparent, engaging, and humane.
“Every jobseeker deserves to be acknowledged,” Cuizon said. “Ghosting hurts confidence and discourages talents who are eager to contribute. Our platform was built to eliminate that silence — to make job seeking feel like a real conversation again.”

Bossjob has rolled out several new platform features to curb “recruitment ghosting,” including:
- Real-time employer notifications
- Direct chat system for instant communication between applicants and hiring managers
- AI-powered CV templates (AICV)
- Online status visibility and live updates
- Automated feedback and job-matching systems
These upgrades are designed to help both applicants and employers maintain clear, timely communication — reducing uncertainty and ensuring a more positive hiring experience.
To dramatize its message, Bossjob launched a witty yet impactful “Ghosting Stunt,” featuring a roaming “ghost” spotted around key business districts in Metro Manila.
While humorous, the campaign highlights a serious issue: the lack of acknowledgment and feedback in hiring processes. The stunt serves as a visual reminder that “no one deserves to be left hanging.”
Founded in 2017 in Singapore, Bossjob has since connected millions of job seekers and thousands of companies across Asia through AI-driven direct chats. The platform expanded to the Philippines in 2018, becoming a key player in streamlining recruitment for both B2B and B2C markets.
As Cuizon summed up: “We will ensure that the moment you create your AI-powered CV with us, we’ll be right there with you every step of the way.”
With this campaign, Bossjob not only calls out hiring ghosting but also sets a new standard for accountability and empathy in the digital job market. To learn more, visit Bossjob.ph or download the Bossjob App on mobile. (with reports from Lau Balocos)
