Actor Chuckie Dreyfus has come to the defense of Kapuso actress Jillian Ward, expressing his full support for the young star amid malicious rumors linking her to former Ilocos Sur governor Chavit Singson and allegations that she has a “benefactor.”

In a heartfelt Facebook post on Wednesday, October 22, Chuckie revealed that he has known Jillian since she was just six years old and considers her like his own daughter.
“Alam mo, @jillian my anak… I’ve known you since you were about 6 years old. I’ve seen you bloom, not just as an artist but as a woman with so much heart,” he began.
According to Chuckie, Jillian has often confided in him about her struggles, dreams, and self-doubt throughout her career.
“Not a lot of people know this, pero madalas ka sa akin mag-open up — ‘yung mga late-night messages, kuwento mo about your wins, struggles, frustrations, love, dreams… even the moments you doubted yourself. You’ve poured your heart out to me more times than I can count.”
The actor said that seeing Jillian attacked online for her success and accused of things she didn’t do compelled him to speak up.
“When people start throwing shade or questioning the things you’ve worked hard for, hindi ko talaga kayang manahimik. I know the grind. I’ve seen your sacrifices. I know the time, the effort, the tears behind every little win.”
Chuckie also reminded Jillian that she doesn’t owe anyone an explanation about her achievements.
“People will always have something to say. That’s just how the world is. But you don’t owe anyone an explanation — not when your success is built on grit, grace, and God’s timing.”
He ended his message with a touching note of encouragement, calling Jillian a woman worth looking up to.
“Anak, tatay is so proud of you. I love you. I believe in you. No matter how loud the noise gets, remember your truth. Remember what you’ve built with your own two hands. You’ve always led with love, and that’s what makes you different. So stand tall. Keep being you. And don’t you ever forget… I gotchu.”

Chuckie’s message came days after Jillian tearfully addressed the accusations during her October 21 guesting on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.’ The young actress emotionally denied claims that her mother, Jennifer Ward, was “selling” her or that she had a relationship with Singson.
“Sobrang sakit talaga, Tito Boy, kasi my parents didn’t raise me that way. Lahat ng meron ako, pinagpaguran ko, and my mom would never do that to me.”
She also clarified that everything she owns was earned through her work, and that her success is a result of her 15 years in the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, Chavit Singson has already denied the rumors, calling them “puro Marites lang” (mere gossip).
