Broadcaster Kim Atienza and his wife Felicia Hung Atienza are mourning the sudden passing of their 19-year-old daughter, Emmanuelle “Emman” Atienza.

In a joint Instagram post on Friday morning, the couple announced the heartbreaking news: “It’s with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our daughter and sister, Emman.”
They described Emman as a light in their lives — someone who radiated joy, laughter, and love not only to her family but to everyone she met.
“She brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives and into the lives of everyone who knew her. Emman had a way of making people feel seen and heard.”
Kim and Felicia also paid tribute to their daughter’s openness and courage in discussing mental health — a topic she was passionate about.
“She wasn’t afraid to share her own journey with mental health. Her authenticity helped so many feel less alone.”
The Atienza family asked the public to honor Emman’s memory by living with kindness and empathy: “To honor Emman’s memory, we hope you carry forward the qualities she lived by: compassion, courage, and a little extra kindness in your everyday life.”
The family did not disclose the cause of her passing.
Emman was known as a content creator and Sparkle GMA talent, admired by many for her authenticity and advocacy. She accompanied her father to the first GMA Gala, where she caught attention for her grace and confidence.
Last month, Emman trended online after speaking out in defense of her family amid discussions about privilege and “nepo babies,” candidly sharing that it was her mother, Felicia, who was their family’s main provider.
In a past birthday post for her, Kim fondly wrote, “You will be papa and mama’s baby forever!”
Emman’s passing has deeply saddened the entertainment community and social media users, many of whom remember her for her honesty, warmth, and courage to speak up about mental health.
May she rest in peace.
