Today, LionhearTV celebrates 17 years of being a trusted voice in Philippine entertainment and lifestyle media.
What started as a passion project in college—built out of pure love for showbiz and storytelling—has grown into a full-fledged digital platform with multiple verticals, loyal readers, strong industry partnerships, and a team that works tirelessly behind the scenes.
But if we’re being honest, the roots go even further back. Twenty years ago, I first built a basic site through Bravenet and Xanga. It sat untouched for about three years—just a flat page with no content, existing merely “for the sake of having one.”
It wasn’t until October 8, 2008, that the first real articles were published, officially marking the birth of LionhearTV.net.
It took a long time before the site gained traction and became sustainable. In 2011, we got our first brand partnership when a major telco tapped us as an ambassador. In 2015, we launched our very own RAWR Awards, a celebration of the entertainment industry’s best and brightest—now an annual tradition supported by fans, PRs, bloggers, and stars.
Today, LionhearTV is home to: 7 partner brands under current contracts, with more in ongoing negotiations; A growing list of 7 artists we’re closely following and updating on weekly (as publicist); A team of 15 members, with 6 actively covering events in Manila; and niche verticals like Tech Jungle (science & technology), BIZNest (business & finance), and MangyanBlogger (food & travel).
We’ve evolved from a one-man flat site into a thriving content hub. We’ve weathered algorithm changes, platform shifts, economic downturns, and even a pandemic—but we’re still here. Still roaring. Still reaching. Still giving our best—especially for our RAWR Nation.
