The popular Kapamilya celebrity impersonation program “Your Face Sounds Familiar (YFSF)” made its much-anticipated return for a brand-new season, but how did it fare in the ratings?
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People Survey, the show debuted with modest numbers, landing in the lower tier of the overall top 10 weekend programs.
Its pilot episode, which aired on Saturday, October 4, earned a 4.2 percent rating, placing 10th on the Saturday leaderboard—slightly lower than its predecessor Idol Kids Philippines, which scored 4.4 percent on its debut.
The second part of YFSF’s premiere, aired on Sunday, October 5, saw a further dip to 3.0 percent, although it climbed one spot to 9th place.
Leading the weekend ratings were Pepito Manaloto on Saturday with 9.0 percent and Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho on Sunday with a strong 15.2 percent.
The show’s lukewarm performance mirrored mixed reactions from netizens on X (formerly Twitter), with many expressing disappointment over changes to the format. Viewers were particularly vocal about the two-week performance cycle before a winner is announced, calling the pacing slow and less engaging compared to previous seasons.
One user, @MMMNGBSWG, questioned the drawn-out premiere and criticized the technical issues and underwhelming prosthetics, while @direkspotlight and @thepeculiarlens both lamented the lackluster pilot and limited number of performances shown.
Others, like @iamkhunrye and @sweetunicorn701, called for a return to the old format, where new icons were impersonated weekly and results were immediately revealed.

Despite the criticism, the new season still found support from fans who appreciated the comedic and entertaining performances. Rufa Mae Quinto, in particular, stood out, albeit for polarizing reasons.

Meanwhile, @avabeatrice and @genvboongaling praised Alexa Ilacad’s opening performance as Chappell Roan, calling it a strong start to the season with stable vocals and a complete stage presence.
