Actor and former Makati vice mayor Edu Manzano expressed frustration over the perceived lack of accountability in the ongoing flood control corruption controversy, saying his Christmas wish is for those responsible to be sent to jail.

In a recent Instagram post, Manzano contrasted the fast approach of the holiday season with what he described as the slow pace of justice in the Philippines.
“Grabe ang bilis ng Pasko… hustisya lang talaga ang laging late,” he wrote.
In the caption, he added: “All I want for Christmas… ang may makulong!!!”
He also included hashtags such as #katarungan, #pagbabago, #pantaypantay, and #jailtime.
Manzano’s post comes months after the flood control project controversy surfaced in July, prompting investigations into allegedly anomalous public works funded by billions of pesos. The actor has been vocal on social media, frequently posting AI-generated satirical images criticizing corruption and spotlighting what he calls “ghost projects” that contribute to flooding in Metro Manila.
Netizens responded in agreement with his latest message, with some commenting: “‘Yan din ang wish nating karamihan.” “Maaga kasi nabigyan ng pamasko ‘yung mga naghuhustisya kaya bumagal na.” “Aantayin lang nila na makalimot ulit ang mga Pilipino.”
Manzano has also previously pointed out an alleged double standard, noting that ordinary people can be jailed for petty theft while those accused of stealing public funds remain free.
With barely two months left before year-end, Manzano said he continues to hope for concrete action and accountability in the corruption investigations.
