Veteran director and star-maker Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan has officially joined MQuest Ventures and MQuest Artists Agency (MQAA), the talent management arm of TV5 under the MediaQuest Group.

“This partnership feels like a natural fit for me,” Manahan said at the signing at the TV5 Media Center. “MQuest Ventures shares the same passion I’ve always had in discovering, developing, and celebrating great Filipino talent. I’m excited to collaborate with this incredible team and help create opportunities that inspire.”
Manahan emphasized that creating lasting stars comes down to discipline and consistent work: “The secret to creating lasting stars, not just one-hit wonders, is the work. Work hard, and you become a star.”
MediaQuest Holdings chairman Manny V. Pangilinan welcomed the partnership: “We’ve always believed in investing in Filipino talent, their stories, their artistry, and their dreams. Having Mr. M on board strengthens that mission. Together, we aim to bring out the best in our people and elevate the industry to new heights.”
Jane Jimenez-Basas, MediaQuest Holdings and Cignal TV president and CEO, added: “We’re honored to welcome Mr. M to MQuest Ventures and MQuest Artists Agency. His legacy in building talent and shaping the Philippine entertainment landscape perfectly aligns with our vision to create a nurturing, world-class home for artists.”
Across decades, Manahan has mentored some of the country’s biggest stars and helped launch youth programs that reshaped local entertainment. At MQuest/MQAA, he aims to develop a “tougher, leaner, and more exciting” center for artists—nurturing strong talent and fresh stories that keep audiences engaged.
