Model-actress and Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 winner Maureen Wroblewitz recently made headlines after responding to a TikTok comment comparing her current relationship to her past romance with singer JK Labajo.
In a video posted on November 10, Maureen shared a playful clip with her boyfriend, model and medical student Noah Steinbuch, using the TikTok trend set to Kid Cudi’s “Maui Wowie.” The caption read, “this was like 1am and our 10th try [laughing emojis] #mauiwowie #boyfriend #couple.”
Some netizens, however, couldn’t help but bring up her ex-boyfriend, JK, with one commenter asking, “Hindi ka ba na de-dejavu, beh?”—referring to her new partner’s resemblance to her former flame.
Maureen’s response was brief but firm: “No cause my bf is the complete opposite lol.”

Her reply sparked mixed reactions online. While some fans supported her for setting boundaries, others accused her of still being hung up on JK. Comments ranged from playful teasing to outright criticism: “Parang hindi maka-move on na ex eh, hahaha.” “Si ate hindi na ata nakaheal. Siya pa rin panay shade till now.” “Nainis na ata si Maureen sa comsec niya, puro kasi about kay JK.”
Despite the chatter, Maureen appeared unbothered, later reposting the same clip on Instagram with the caption, “tiktok saw it first. this was like our 10th try at 1am lol • btw my nickname is mauie.”
Maureen and Noah have been together for over two years. Back in August 2025, the model revealed in an Instagram post that they had officially relocated to New York, writing, “oh btw we live here now… also not my cardigan touching the ground #newyork #outfit #fitchcheck #couple #boyfriend #relationship.”
Her boyfriend, Noah, simply commented with two heart emojis, to which Maureen replied, “@noahsteinbuch ily bb [heart emoji].”
Maureen first went public with Noah in October 2023, when she shared affectionate clips with him on Instagram Stories in celebration of National Boyfriend Day, captioned “happy bf day [heart emoji].”
Meanwhile, Maureen and JK Labajo ended their relationship in 2022 after more than three years together. Both previously said in interviews that they parted on good terms.
