Fintech company Salmon Bank showcased its latest digital banking initiatives and continued growth momentum during its first-ever Salmon Press Day held on October 29 at Blackbird Makati, bringing together members of the media, creators, and industry partners.

The event provided an overview of Salmon’s rapid expansion, its evolving suite of financial products, and the strengthening of Salmon Bank (Rural Bank), its digital-first arm designed to simplify and democratize everyday banking for Filipinos.
Salmon Group Co-Founder Pavel Fedorov emphasized the company’s focus on innovation and customer-centric design. “At Salmon, our goal is to build products that are rewarding, empower people to achieve their dreams, and are extremely easy to use,” he said. “We grow by listening to our customers, managing risk with discipline, and building for the long term.”
Chairperson of Salmon Bank and Salmon Group Co-Founder Raffy Montemayor reported significant gains in financial performance, noting that deposits nearly tripled year-on-year, loan issuances grew more than 40 percent quarter-on-quarter, and equity rose threefold within a year. Despite these rapid increases, the bank maintains a capital adequacy ratio three times above Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas requirements, underscoring strong governance practices.
A major highlight of the event was the launch of Salmon’s ‘Bank On It’ campaign featuring personalities Sam YG and Gretchen Ho, aimed at encouraging Filipinos to confidently pursue financial goals through time deposit products and user-friendly digital tools.

The company also introduced the Salmon Affiliate Platform, described as the first proprietary digital affiliate system among local consumer finance firms. The platform enables content creators to earn up to ₱500 per approved credit line via referral links, supported by a real-time analytics dashboard for transparency in tracking applications and payouts. According to Fedorov, empowering creators is integral to expanding digital financial inclusion.
The featured Salmon Credit Line offers up to ₱100,000 in credit limit with a virtual card, zero annual fees, and the longest interest-free grace period in the market at up to 62 days.
The event concluded with an Expert Talk session led by Salmon podcast hosts Joric Pecson and MK Bertulfo, joined by host Alexis Tinsay, discussing savings, investment strategies, and long-term financial confidence. (with reports from Lau Balocos)
