Kapuso host-actress Shuvee Etrata addressed the online bashing she has been receiving, saying she remains firm despite criticism over her past public support for former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Etrata, who previously appeared on ‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition’, has been the subject of harsh comments on social media, but said she is choosing to stay positive amid the negativity.
According to the actress, many supporters also continue defending her online.
In a report aired on ’24 Oras’, Etrata shared that her recent family trip to Japan served as a needed mental health break after dealing with cyberbullying.
“Kasama ko ‘yung tita ko doon, parang as my way of giving back to them kasi they’re the first people talaga who believed in me,” she said.
She also thanked her fans who organized a bonding event and fan meet in Quezon City.
“Thank you for your effort, time, and love… There were times na gusto ko nang sumuko or I doubted myself,” Etrata told her supporters, later adding, “Bakit ako susuko, ang ingay n’yo.”
Her parents, Michael and Jorena Etrata, attended the gathering and expressed pride in their daughter’s progress.
“Sinasabi ko sa kanya, ‘Anak, alagaan mo lang ‘yung sarili mo at mahalin mo ‘yung trabaho mo,’” her mother said.
Despite the controversies she faced, Etrata continues to book projects under GMA Sparkle. She is part of the upcoming horror film ‘Huwag Kang Titingin,’ which also stars Sofia Pablo, Allen Ansay, Marco Masa, Michael Sager, Sean Lucas, Josh Ford, Kira Balinger, Charlie Fleming, and Anthony Constantino.
