From fashion icon to compassionate artist, Heart Evangelista recently shared her creativity with young patients battling cancer and thalassemia in a special art workshop.

In an event titled “heArt Gap Gives Back” organized by GMA Network in partnership with the Little Ark Foundation, Heart led a live painting session where children were encouraged to express themselves through art. The initiative brought joy and a sense of empowerment to the young participants, who eagerly showcased their creativity alongside the style icon.
The Little Ark Foundation is dedicated to providing holistic support to children with critical illnesses—such as cancer and thalassemia—and to their families. The organization aims to address the medical, emotional, and spiritual needs of young patients by nurturing a community grounded in love, faith, and hope. By raising awareness and connecting families with essential resources and caregivers, Little Ark ensures that no child or family faces their challenging journey alone.

During the workshop, several children also took the opportunity to personally thank Heart, who has long been a supporter and advocate for thalassemia patients.
“My journey with thalassemia patients started when I was 21, and they have held a special place in my life ever since,” Heart shared in a social media post.
The event comes at a time when Heart has been reconnecting with her roots as an artist, frequently sharing new artworks on her social media platforms. In one of her recent Instagram posts, she unveiled a painting featuring her signature style and captioned it: “Feelings on display.”

Followers quickly praised the gesture and the emotional depth of her new artwork. Many believe Heart’s recent pieces capture unspoken emotions and the many faces of vulnerability. Instagram user @jodiecamilleg commented: “Power to express what words cannot. The diary of the soul…”
Heart’s passion for painting has long been part of her identity. Her first solo art exhibit, “I Am Love Marie: The Art and Works of Love Marie Ongpauco,” was held at the Ayala Museum in Makati City in 2014. This was followed by another exhibit in 2015 at the Chan Hampe Galleries in Singapore.
Beyond canvas work, Heart also paints on designer handbags, clothing, and various items for both local and international clients. She previously showcased her hand-painted luxury handbags in the exhibit “Carry Your HeART” in Bonifacio Global City, where several of her pieces were displayed publicly for the first time.
In a past interview, Heart described painting as “very therapeutic for me,” reflecting how her artistry continues to evolve while remaining close to her heart.
