Actress and content creator Ivana Alawi once again touched the hearts of netizens with her latest vlog uploaded on December 1, where she disguised herself as a pregnant woman to test the kindness of strangers—and to extend help to people in need ahead of Christmas.
Shot days before the upload, Ivana underwent a full prosthetics transformation to alter her face and body, ensuring no one would recognize her as she roamed the streets talking to random individuals. Wearing a mask and portraying a struggling, abandoned expectant mother, she sought to see who would willingly offer help.
This isn’t the first time Ivana has pulled off a social-experiment-type prank, but her latest episode drew massive praise for showcasing compassion from everyday Filipinos—many of whom gave help despite having very little themselves.
One motorcycle driver, who saw her craving fishball but unable to afford it, immediately offered to pay for her snack. Ivana later revealed herself and rewarded him with ₱20,000.
Another man, a security guard, gave her his last money so she could pay for transportation. Deeply concerned for the “pregnant woman,” he even offered to adopt her baby if she had no one else to turn to. Ivana gifted him ₱30,000 for his genuine kindness.
One of the most moving encounters featured a homeless elderly man who made a living collecting bottles. Seeing Ivana hungry, he handed her his final ₱10 coin so she could eat. While Ivana’s team feared giving him cash due to his vulnerable mental condition, she returned to him—with her real identity revealed—to deliver food, clothes, and essentials.

She explained that pranking her own family would not have carried a meaningful message, so she chose to use the experience to reflect on how pregnant women are treated.
Ivana added she simply wanted to discover who among the strangers she met possessed “beautiful hearts.”
