Former actress Katherine Luna expressed deep gratitude to actor-director Coco Martin for shouldering her eye surgery, a gesture she described as life-changing and something she will be thankful for forever.

In her recent interview with broadcast journalist Julius Babao, viewers immediately noticed a visible improvement in Luna’s appearance and confidence compared to her earlier guesting on Babao’s vlog. Her eyes now appear healed, and with it, she said, came renewed hope and a more positive outlook in life.
Luna credited Martin for extending medical assistance, as well as Martin’s partner, actress Julia Montes, whom she said also helped ensure that she received proper medical care.
“Hindi ko na talaga ini-expect na pagkakalooban pa ako ng ganitong blessing. Miracle happen talaga,” Luna shared emotionally.
“Kung hindi n’yo ako in-interview… hindi ako makikita ng naging angels ng buhay ko, which is Direk Coco Martin. Maraming, maraming salamat sa iyo at kay Miss Julia.”
According to Luna, she initially hesitated to accept Martin’s help out of embarrassment. It was talent manager Ogie Diaz who encouraged her to accept the offer, reminding her to think of her children. Eventually, she agreed—and Martin fulfilled his promise.
“Pinagamot niya ‘ko, pinaopera niya ‘yung mata ko. Malaki po ‘yung ginastos niya,” Luna revealed, adding that her gratitude toward the actor is lifelong.
Aside from the medical assistance, Luna also shared that Martin extended help to her family. Her daughter, Nicole, was reportedly given an opportunity to appear in Martin’s hit action series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’.
Luna also acknowledged Babao’s role in her turnaround, saying that the interview became a bridge for people who would later help her get back on her feet.
