For the first time, Alden Richards and Nadine Lustre are teaming up in a television series titled Love, Siargao, set to premiere in the second quarter of 2026 on Viu Philippines.

The streaming platform officially announced the project on January 14 through its social media channels, sharing a joint post that read: “ASIA’S MULTIMEDIA STAR MEETS THE PRESIDENT!
Alden Richards and Nadine Lustre are teaming up for their biggest upcoming series yet. The Siargao Magic gets real this 2026. Love, Siargao, coming soon only on Viu!”
Also joining the cast is South Korean actor Choi Bo-min, a former member of the K-pop group Golden Child.
The 26-episode series centers on Jao (Richards) and Kara (Lustre), whose lives intersect after they fall under different versions of the so-called “Siargao curse.” According to local lore, the myth suggests that visitors to Siargao either never leave the island or end up losing their heart to love. In the series, the curse alters the characters’ paths and challenges their destiny as they navigate modern romance.
Viu described the project as more than a love story, saying: “‘Love, Siargao’ will also be a love letter to the tourist destination, which highlights its breathtaking beaches, vibrant food scene, unique Filipino experiences, and the warmth of Filipino culture.”
‘Love, Siargao’ marks the first on-screen collaboration between Richards and Lustre, following their respective successes in film and television. The series is slated to premiere on Viu later in 2026.
