Barbie Imperial publicly addressed a blind item circulating online after she believed it was referring to her and questioning whether she truly earned her success on her own.
On her verified Facebook page, which has more than 14 million followers, Imperial shared the link to a blind item published by RadarPH and expressed her frustration.
“Lol this is so obvious its about me. Hindi nalang kayo maging masaya. I can proudly say NO MAN helped me achieve this. Kung sino pa yung sarili mong kapwa pinoy talaga hihila sayo pababa. God bless you, whoever you are. Makagawa ka lang ng kwento. bye”
The blind item she reposted described a “self-made” celebrity whose newly acquired home was allegedly located in an ultra-exclusive village in the south, with insiders claiming the property could be worth over a hundred million pesos. The article suggested that the home might not have been acquired through “puyat at pagsisikap” alone, but possibly through help from a “rumored married influential lover.”
While no name was mentioned in the blind item, Imperial said the description felt close enough to her recent milestones to prompt her response.
Just days earlier, the actress became emotional after sharing that construction had officially begun on her dream home in Bicol. Posting photos and videos from the groundbreaking ceremony on Instagram on Tuesday, January 20, Imperial celebrated the achievement.
“May bahay na ako sa Bicol,” she said. “Oh my… 10 years in the industry and was able to put a roof over my mama and kuya’s heads, and now I have my own home in my province.”
She emphasized that the achievement was the result of years of hard work.
“Thank you to everyone who helped me achieve my dreams in life,” she wrote. “To everyone who trusted me and continues to trust me, thank you. Nakakaiyak kasi sobrang pinagpaguran ko ‘to ng ilang taon.. puyat, pagod, at ilang beses na iyak.”
Imperial also expressed gratitude to her home network ABS-CBN and her talent management group Star Magic for the projects entrusted to her over the years.
Meanwhile, RadarPH responded to the actress and denied that the blind item was about her, saying the clues did not match.

Imperial replied, explaining why she felt compelled to speak up.
“The details lang kasi pwedeng pwedeng ako eh. Bicol is also South. Sweat and tears, like how I said it in my post. Hope you understand that I have to make sure people know its not me. Thanks again! ”
The actress has recently been in the spotlight after her relationship with Richard Gutierrez was confirmed, and after moving into a new home in Metro Manila last December.
Despite the renewed attention, Imperial maintained that her achievements—particularly her properties—are the result of years of work in the industry and not the help of any “powerful admirer.”
