Sparkle actor Jeric Gonzales is gearing up for a busy 2026 as he lines up multiple projects spanning film, television, and music—while also preparing for one of his most emotionally demanding roles to date.

According to a ‘Chika Minute’ report by Aubrey Carampel on ’24 Oras’, Jeric shared that one of his main goals this year is to focus more on his music career. The actor hopes to release new songs, work on an album, and eventually hold live concerts.
“‘Yung sa music, hopefully concerts soon. ‘Yan ‘yung mga dream ko e, performing,” Jeric said.
Alongside his music plans, Jeric is also preparing for a film project that will require him to take on a more daring role. As part of his preparation, the actor has committed to a healthier and more active lifestyle, which he also considers a key New Year’s resolution.
“Mas positive ‘yung mindset na mas sipagan ‘yung workout. And then, more time with my family kasi ‘yun ‘yung minsan nawawala ‘di ba kapag busy na tayo,” he shared. “And then, mas engaging sa mga physical activities outside, like ngayon I’m running na, and gusto ko sana hiking, mga ganyan, outdoor activities.”
On television, Jeric will headline an upcoming episode of the real-life drama anthology ‘Magpakailanman’, where he portrays an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who gets imprisoned in Malaysia after becoming involved in illegal activities.
Titled ‘Pangarap at Hustisya: The Jimmy Aguilar Story,’ the episode follows Jimmy, a man who dreams of becoming a police officer but is forced by poverty and lack of opportunities to seek work abroad. In Malaysia, desperation leads him to become a drug runner for a Chinese drug lord—ultimately trapping him in a dangerous and life-altering situation.
Jeric admitted that the role was one of the most challenging he has taken on.
“Every scene talaga, napakabigat, napakahirap, challenge talaga sa akin bilang aktor. Pero I’m happy na ako ‘yung nabigyan ng opportunity to play this role,” he said.
The ‘Magpakailanman’ episode ‘Pangarap at Hustisya: The Jimmy Aguilar Story’ is set to air on January 10 at 8:15 p.m., showcasing Jeric Gonzales in a performance that highlights both the harsh realities faced by OFWs and the actor’s growing range as a dramatic lead.
