Actress Kris Bernal has expressed confusion over the apparent distancing of her former love team partner Aljur Abrenica, revealing that he has unfollowed and unfriended her on social media without any explanation.

Bernal said she was surprised by the situation, given their long history of working together in television and film.
“Wala kaming communication! Ang alam ko, hindi kami magkagalit,” she said.
According to Bernal, she had been trying to contact Abrenica for quite some time because she wanted to invite him as a guest on her YouTube channel.
Pero wala talaga,” she shared.
She even reached out to Abrenica’s brother, Vin Abrenica, to confirm if she still had the correct contact details.
Bernal said she only noticed later that Abrenica had started unfollowing her online, prompting her to do the same.
“Napansin ko lang talaga na he started unfollowing me. Bakit? Ano ba ang nagawa ko? So, in-unfollow ko na rin siya,” she said. “Wala naman akong ginawa sa kanya. Ano ba ang kasalanan ko?”
The actress speculated that the issue might be connected to a prank she once pulled on Abrenica during the pandemic, when she jokingly claimed she was pregnant for a YouTube video.
“Isang oras kaming nag-usap noon… Nagpakita siya ng concern. Genuine ang mga payo niya sa akin. After that, hindi na niya ako kinausap. So, baka ‘yon.”
She added an apology, saying, “Pero sorry Aljur, hindi na kita ipa-prank. At saka, matagal na rin naman ‘yon.”
Meanwhile, Bernal is set to make her television comeback in the upcoming GMA Network series ‘House of Lies’, marking her first regular acting project in two years after giving birth to her first child. She will star opposite Beauty Gonzalez, a collaboration that Bernal admitted made her feel pressured to deliver her best performance.
‘House of Lies’ premieres on January 19 and features a powerhouse cast that includes Jackie Lou Blanco, Lito Pimentel, Snooky Serna, Kokoy de Santos, Tanya Gomez, Patricia Tumulak, Martin del Rosario, and Mike Tan.
