Talent manager and content creator Ogie Diaz offered advice to veteran TV host Willie Revillame regarding his on-air demeanor, following another viral incident involving Revillame scolding staff during his game show ‘Wilyonaryo’.
The discussion took place during the latest episode of Diaz’s online show ‘Showbiz Updates’, where he addressed netizens’ reactions to Revillame’s recent on-air reprimand of his staff.
According to Diaz, some viewers felt uncomfortable seeing employees being scolded and seemingly humiliated on national television.
“‘Yung iba iniisip na ‘yan, e. Na parang feeling ni Willie, ‘Dito ako naba-viral, a. Kaya maggagalit-galitan ako oncam,’” Diaz said.
He clarified, however, that Revillame’s behavior was nothing new. “Pero sa totoo lang, consistent naman si Willie do’n. Lagi siyang nagagalit kapag hindi nasusunod ang gusto niya,” he added.
Diaz pointed out that while consistency may be present, the issue lies in how such moments are perceived by the public. “Pangalawa, dapat daw hindi na pinapairal ni Willie ang init ng ulo oncam. Kasi siyempre, ang feeling ng mga tao, nagkakaroon ng impresyon na porke swelduhan sila, gaganunin mo sila on-air?” he explained.
As advice, Diaz suggested that Revillame consider surrounding himself with staff members who fully understand his work style and routine to avoid such situations.
“Para alam nila ‘yong dynamics mo, ‘yong routine mo. Kasi ang hirap niyan na bago ‘yan sa paningin mo tapos magagalit ka,” Diaz said. “Tapos ‘pag ‘di nasunod ang gusto mo tatanggalin mo,” he continued, adding, “E, ang bilis pang magtanggal ng tao ni Willie.”
The issue resurfaced after clips of Revillame’s on-air reprimands circulated again online in December 2025, reigniting debate over his hosting style and treatment of staff.
As of this writing, Revillame has yet to respond to Diaz’s comments.
