Singer Kris Lawrence broke his silence after an old video resurfaced in which former actor Alvin Aragon admitted to stealing from him years ago.

In a strongly worded post, Kris recounted his side of the story: “We’re at the bar nakilala ko si Alvin.. bitin kami sa inuman, ininvite ko sila sa bahay. Sumisikat na ‘yung araw pack-up na and umalis sila. I noticed nawawala cellphone ko hanap ako nang hanap wala ngani..”
He added, “Na guilty ‘yung isang friend niya inamin si Alvin ang kumuha.. Why would you steal from me from my own house? That was disrespectful.. long story short nag sorry siya, honestly.. gusto ko siyang suntukin pero I know that violence is never the answer. I said it’s okay…. Ikaw Alvin kinalimutan ko na ‘yun pinaalala mo pa, oo nga naibalik mo ba?”
The issue reignited after a September 2024 Facebook video of Aragon circulated online. In it, he openly admitted that during his younger years, he repeatedly stole from various people — including family members, neighbors, and colleagues in show business.
Aragon, who rose to fame after joining StarStruck Season 1 in 2003, narrated how theft continued even after entering the entertainment industry.
He specifically mentioned stealing a cellphone from Kris inside the latter’s home, as well as taking nearly ₱40,000 from another co-worker.
“Nagnanakaw ako. Magnanakaw ako,” Aragon said in the video, describing how he spent the money on material things.
Aragon said his turning point came in 2009 when he embraced Christianity.
“Finorgive ako ni Lord sa mga pagnanakaw na ginawa ko. Binago niya ako, binago niya ang puso ko. Simula 2009 hindi na ako nagnanakaw.”
He also recounted approaching Kris at a gym to personally confess and apologize.
“Kris ako yung nagnakaw ng cellphone mo. I’m sorry.”
According to Aragon, both Kris and another co-worker he wronged forgave him and did not demand repayment.
He further shared that in later years, he was entrusted with significant financial responsibilities, including jewelry worth ₱2 million and managing pharmacy earnings — claiming he resisted temptation despite financial hardship.
The resurfaced confession adds to the series of controversies currently surrounding Aragon, including past remarks about religion, family matters, and other personal revelations that have drawn criticism online.
Kris, for his part, appeared to question whether the matter had truly been resolved, particularly raising the issue of whether the stolen item was ever returned.
As of writing, Aragon has not issued a new response to Kris’ recent statement.
