Megastar Sharon Cuneta has spoken out in defense of the recent meeting between President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo, stressing that there was no “balimbingan” or plastic behavior involved.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, February 22, Sharon addressed public speculation surrounding the meeting of the two former rivals in the 2022 presidential elections.
“My President Mam Leni @atty.lenirobredo with OUR President, Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. Walang balimbingan o plastikan. Pagpapasalamat lamang sa sumusuporta sa kanyang mahal na lungsod at bayan,” she wrote.
She elaborated on what she believes differentiates political opportunism from principled leadership.
President Marcos visited Naga City to discuss the implementation of Oplan Kontra Baha in the city under Mayor Robredo’s leadership.
Earlier, both camps clarified that the meeting was not politically motivated but centered on governance and public service initiatives.
