After two years away from the primetime block, Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino are officially making their return to television audiences this year.
The announcement was made on Sunday, February 1, during the ALL2gether Kapamilya celebration on ‘ASAP’, where ABS-CBN unveiled several major upcoming projects.

Among the highlights was the confirmation that the KimPau-led mystery-suspense series ‘The Alibi’, which originally premiered on Prime Video in November 2025, will be airing on linear television in an expanded format.
The TV version, titled ‘The Alibi: Ang Buong Katotohanan’, will feature an extended cut of the original 14-episode streaming series, which concluded its Prime Video run last January. While ABS-CBN has yet to announce the exact broadcast date, the project is already generating strong anticipation among fans.
The series marks Kim and Paulo’s primetime comeback following their 2024 projects ‘Linlang’ and the local adaptation of ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?’.

‘The Alibi’ revolves around Stella Morales (Kim Chiu), a seductive escort and the sole provider of her broken family, whose life becomes even more complicated after crossing paths with Vincent Cabrera (Paulo Avelino), the heir to one of the country’s most powerful digital news empires.
According to the official synopsis, their encounter takes a dark turn when Vincent is revealed to be the prime suspect in the murder of his rival, Walter Cunanan (Sam Milby).
To protect his reputation, Vincent offers Stella a million-peso deal to act as his alibi—plunging the two strangers into a dangerous and emotionally charged entanglement fueled by lies, secrets, and hidden agendas. As the truth unfolds, the story exposes fractured families, moral dilemmas, and decades of corruption tied to the powerful Cabrera clan.
Joining Kim and Paulo are veteran actors John Arcilla, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Alma Moreno, Ian De Leon, Romnick Sarmenta, Irma Adlawan, Rafael Rosell, and Sofia Andres.
Also part of the cast are Robbie Jaworski, Angelina Cruz, Alyanna Angeles, PJ Endrinal, Lotlot Bustamante, Enzo Osorio, Ayesha Bajeta, Thou Reyes, Alora Sasam, Marvin Yap, Johaira Omar, Yesh Burce, and Kim Tubiano.
The series is co-directed by Onat Diaz, Jojo Saguin, and FM Reyes, and produced by Dreamscape Entertainment.
Aside from their primetime return, Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino also announced that they will embark on a KimPau world tour starting in April, giving fans around the globe a chance to meet them in person. Dates and venues are expected to be revealed soon.
‘The Alibi’ marks the fourth collaboration between Kim and Paulo, following ‘Linlang’, ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?’, and the film ‘My Love Will Make You Disappear’, further cementing their status as one of today’s most in-demand screen tandems.
