There was a recent celebrity sighting at the increasingly popular Maddox Jewelry showroom in Marikina City when actress and Cai Cortez dropped by the shop owned by founder and president Charo Cordial.
Maddox Jewelry has been gaining traction on social media, particularly through its live selling sessions and the online “mine” culture where viewers instantly reserve jewelry pieces during livestreams. Thousands of buyers regularly tune in to the brand’s broadcasts, attracted by its elegant designs and relatively affordable prices.
According to Cortez, she had long noticed the shop located along J.P. Rizal Street in Concepcion Uno, Marikina, especially when passing by on her way to Taytay, where she currently serves as a councilor.
Curiosity eventually got the better of her, prompting the actress to finally visit the showroom to see what the buzz was all about.
But Cortez admitted she initially had no plans to buy anything that day.
As a mother, she said she usually prioritizes the needs of her children first. Any remaining budget often goes toward helping constituents in her community.
Still, seeing the jewelry pieces up close proved difficult to resist.
Cortez shared that she was impressed by the jewelry’s designs and affordability once she saw them in person.
During her visit, she also had an exclusive conversation with Cordial, who is known online for her engaging hosting style during Maddox Jewelry’s live selling sessions.
In their candid conversation, the actress opened up about several personal matters, including her marriage, custody issues, and past controversies that once linked her to actors Baron Geisler and Tom Rodriguez.
