Canva and DepEd Deepen Partnership to Support Students After Graduation

Graduating from senior high school marks a key transition for Filipino students as they prepare for university, employment, or entrepreneurship. To support this next step, Canva and the Department of Education (DepEd) have introduced the Canva Graduate Access Program, giving eligible Grade 12 graduates one year of continued access to Canva Pro.

The initiative enables students to keep using the AI-powered creative tools they relied on in school, from creating presentations to building portfolios, as they prepare for the next stage of their journey.

“Graduating from senior high school is an exciting moment when students begin carrying the creative and digital skills they’ve developed into university, careers, and entrepreneurship,” said Megan Townes, Regional Lead for Canva Education in Asia-Pacific and Japan. “At Canva, our goal is to ensure learners can continue building on these skills beyond the classroom by giving them the tools and confidence to keep creating, communicating, and pursuing opportunities in the path they choose.”

Eligible graduating Grade 12 students with an active Canva Education account will receive an official email from the DepEd Philippines team with a secure activation link. Once verified, they will receive a confirmation code that activates their one-year Canva Pro subscription. The offer must be claimed between April 1, 2026 and July 1, 2026.

The Canva Graduate Access Program builds on the growing collaboration between Canva and DepEd to strengthen digital and creative skills among Filipino learners.

With an estimated 1.2M students graduating from senior high school this year, expanding access to digital tools remains an important part of preparing learners for future opportunities.

“Our goal is to ensure that Filipino learners are equipped not only with knowledge, but with the confidence and capabilities to pursue the opportunities ahead,” said Education Secretary Sonny Angara. “Partnerships like this help expand meaningful learning experiences that empower learners to shape their own paths after senior high school.”

The collaboration also includes initiatives such as Project AGAP – Artificial Intelligence (AI), which introduces students, teachers, and parents to the responsible use of AI in education. The program provides training on AI fundamentals and practical applications in research and content creation.

Another initiative, Project TAWID, focuses on helping learners translate digital skills into real-world opportunities. The program connects senior high school and Alternative Learning System learners with industry partners and provides access to AI-focused training, micro-credentials, and work immersion experiences.

As students move beyond the classroom and into new opportunities, the Canva Graduate Access Program allows them to continue using the tools they are already familiar with. Through this initiative, Canva and DepEd aim to support Filipino learners not only during their time in school, but also as they take their next steps toward higher education, careers, and entrepreneurship.
