Honor of Kings, the world’s most-played MOBA, hosted a Festival of Lanterns gathering at Eastwood Central Plaza, Quezon City last Saturday to celebrate the festive season and show its appreciation to the local community’s ongoing creativity and vibrant energy, and encouraged both players and creators to keep working together to shape and grow the community.
Festival of Lanterns Event
The event was hosted by prominent Philippine esports personalities Ingan and Butters, who kicked things off by warmly visiting and engaging with the Festival of Lanterns Activity Booths. Following this lively welcome, the event moved into one of its most exciting segments of the day — the PKL Watch Party – interspersed with mini stage games that kept the energy high. Attendees also had the chance to win prizes, including exclusive title cards.

Lighting Ceremony, The Reveal of Mr. 1, And Introduction of Oheb
The event featured a series of engaging on-site highlights, including the symbolic “lighting of the stars” alongside one of four content creators: KCbae, Abdul & Marshy, Ian Tayao, and Chano. Attendees also witnessed the long-anticipated reveal of the secret “Mr. 1,” which was revealed to be the famous esports personalities VeeWise and uncovered through a treasure hunt that players had been participating in over the past weeks. This moment was accompanied by a narrative centered on darkness and the Festival of Lanterns, emphasizing themes of unity and hope.
Honor of Kings Welcomes the Filipino Esports Icon Oheb
The gathering reached its climax with the announcement that professional player Oheb has officially joined the Honor of Kings family, a development that reverberated throughout the Philippines’ mobile esports community.
Widely recognized as the “Filipino Sniper,” Oheb has established himself as a premier Marksman with an illustrious career spanning multiple world championships in mobile MOBA esports. As one of Southeast Asia’s most prominent and influential esports figures, his exceptional mechanical skill and proven ability to deliver under pressure will significantly elevate Honor of Kings’ competitive landscape.

What’s Next For The Philippine Community?
To further celebrate the festive atmosphere, the Honor of Kings PH team also unveiled a series of upcoming programs set to roll out in 2026, including the Content Creator Program, Play to Earn Benefits, Creator Cup Season 2, Barangay Roadshow Season 2, and more. Adding to the excitement, as a new AFO skin, Ascension: Arnisadora, a brand-new Arke skin inspired by the national martial art, Arnis, was also introduced.
