Actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith fired back at lawyer and commentator Atty. Ferdie Topacio after he criticized her for posting bikini photos on social media.

The exchange comes amid the ongoing controversy surrounding remarks made by Bong Suntay about Jasmine’s sister, actress and ‘t’s Showtime’ host Anne Curtis, during a House hearing.
Speaking on his program ‘Yes… Yes… Yo! Topacio’ on DWIZ News on March 5, Topacio questioned why actresses like Jasmine post bikini photos online.
“Kayong mga artista, mga ganyan, ikaw, Jasmine, bakit ka nagpo-post ng bikini pictures mo sa social media, sa mga pahayagan—hindi ba para ikaw ay pagnasahan, para ikaw ay sumikat?” he said.
Topacio also appeared to defend Suntay’s earlier remarks, arguing that thoughts alone are not criminal acts.
“’Yong iniisip mo, hindi ka puwedeng—hindi criminal offense. Kahit anong sama ng iniisip mo, may nakita kang babae na gusto mong gahasain, gusto mong halayin, gusto mong daklutin… hindi kasalanan ‘yon!”
He also cited other celebrities such as Ivana Alawi, saying attractive celebrities post such images to gain views and attention.
Curtis-Smith quickly responded by reposting a clip of Topacio’s remarks on her Facebook Story and expressing her anger.
“YOWWWWW WHAT THE ACTUAL ????? WHAT THE!!!! DUGYOT KA!”
Her response quickly circulated on social media, adding another layer to the broader debate sparked by Suntay’s controversial comments about Anne Curtis.
The issue has triggered heated reactions online, with public figures, journalists, and celebrities weighing in on the controversy surrounding comments about women in public discourse.
As of writing, Atty. Ferdie Topacio has not issued a new response to Jasmine Curtis-Smith’s reaction.
