Former ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ housemate Joaquin Arce caught the attention of hosts and netizens alike after revealing an unexpected piece of advice from his father, Neil Arce, prior to entering the Bahay ni Kuya.

During his guest appearance on a radio program hosted by DJ Jhaiho and DJ Chloe, Joaquin was asked about the guidance he received from his parents and from actress Angel Locsin before joining the reality show.
“Ang advice ni Tita Angel (Locsin) sa akin ‘be true to myself’ and be smart in general,” Joaquin shared.
However, it was his revelation about his father’s advice that surprised the hosts.
“Sabi ng dad ko, don’t masturbate,” he said, prompting visible shock from the DJs.
DJ Jhaiho quickly reminded Joaquin that they were on live broadcast, but the former housemate stood by his statement.
“Tama, tama, it’s a good advice, sabi ng dad ko yun,” he added.
Joaquin also shared a more reflective message from his mother.
“Sabi ng mom ko be selfless and that is what I stick to the most,” he said.
Known for his unfiltered and candid personality, Joaquin’s remarks quickly drew mixed reactions online, with many praising his honesty while others were caught off guard by his openness on such a personal topic.
Comments ranged from admiration to surprise, with netizens describing him as “napaka-honest” and “walang preno,” while others questioned whether such private matters should be publicly discussed.
After spending 127 days inside the ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ house, Joaquin previously shared that he left the experience with a deeper appreciation for simple things often taken for granted.
