Actress Kim Chiu addressed concerns from fans following the timeslot change of her teleserye ‘The Alibi: Ang Buong Katotohanan’, which she stars in alongside Paulo Avelino.

The issue arose after ABS-CBN announced during the grand media conference of the upcoming action series ‘Blood vs Duty’ that the show will occupy the 8:00 p.m. primetime slot—previously held by ‘The Alibi’. The move prompted backlash from KimPau fans, with some even threatening to boycott the new series starring Gerald Anderson and Richard Gutierrez.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kim clarified that the shift was part of the original plan and not a sudden decision.
“Ola!! I’ve been reading your comments here on X about the time slot and I just want to reassure you all—no need to worry. From the very beginning, we already knew that ‘The Alibi’ would be on the 3rd slot,” she said.
She explained that their series temporarily filled the earlier slot due to scheduling adjustments.
“There were just some unforeseen circumstances where another show wasn’t quite ready yet. Since ‘The Alibi’ has already been completed and has been streaming on Prime since last year, we’re simply filling in the slot for a little while,” she added.
“So here we are [smiling face emoji] Everything is going according to plan, and everything is under control,” she continued.
Kim also expressed gratitude to fans for their continued support despite the change.
“Thank you for your love, patience, and nonstop support. Love you all! 8:45 here we go!!!”
Beginning April 6, ‘The Alibi: Ang Buong Katotohanan’ will air at its new timeslot of 8:45 p.m. across ABS-CBN platforms, including A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, AllTV2, and Kapamilya Online Live.
