‘My Dream in a Shoebox’ campaign provides over 5,000 dream kits in 17th year, reinforces commitment to education with partnerships

This year, My Dream In A Shoebox (MDIAS), the annual advocacy campaign of award-winning strategic marketing agency TeamAsia, marked its 17th year with gift-giving events and donations—all made possible with the support of its partners.

The mission continues to transform lives with the help of key contributors, including Eastern Telecommunications Philippines Inc., Genpact Philippines, IUX, E-Guardian Philippines, Zigzag Offshoring, Southbay Garden Basic Ecclesial Community (BEC), Creativents, and D’Source Coffee.

TeamAsia and MDIAS volunteers gathered on Gift Giving Day at Christ the King Parish.

Their contributions helped MDIAS support 65 scholars under the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization that makes education more accessible to Filipino children in remote and poverty-stricken areas. It also provided 5,497 dream kits consisting of educational tools to the communities of Payatas Orione Foundation, Arise 4 Dignity, Ascension of Our Lord Parish, Christ the King Parish, and the Corporate Communities supported by the Top 100 Filipinos on LinkedIn.

“Our mission has always been to support children across the Philippines to dream big and pursue their education. Together with our amazing partners who share this same goal, we have been able to help more than 500,000 kids take a step closer to their dreams—a brighter future. We are incredibly grateful and hopeful,” said Bea Lim, President and CEO of TeamAsia, and Co-Chief Dream Builder of MDIAS.

In partnership with IUX, dream kits were distributed to the communities supported by Christ the King Parish in Las Piñas.

MDIAS started with the belief that a shoebox cannot only hold tools, it can also hold big dreams. In 2009, the campaign was launched with only 200 shoeboxes from industry partners and friends.

Over the years, it has expanded its efforts and began providing financial assistance to scholars and donations to its beneficiary partners.

With the help of its partners, the campaign was able to create positive change in the community, ensuring that more children continue to learn, grow, and dream.

Grounded in the belief that no child should have to choose between education and financial circumstances, MDIAS continues to ensure that every student has the tools and support needed to continue their education, and with collective effort, their dream can be within reach.
