The trailer for Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reached new heights to become the first film trailer to cross 1 billion views in just four days. The trailer has now amassed an astonishing 1.1 billion views, per WaveMetrix, further cementing its status as the biggest trailer in history.
Upon its debut on Wednesday, March 18, the internet erupted with excitement, propelling the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer to a historic 718.6 million views in its first 24 hours. The trailer had already become the most-watched ever within just eight hours of launch, reaching 373 million views worldwide and surpassing Deadpool & Wolverine’s previous 24-hour record (365 million). It also surpassed the 24-hour record set by Grand Theft Auto VI (475 million views), which was previously billed as the biggest video launch of all time upon its 2025 release. The trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home—which went on to earn $1.9 billion at the global box office—generated 355.5 million views in its first 24 hours.

The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film is written by Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers. Based on the MARVEL Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Rachel O’Connor produced the film. Executive Producers are Louis D’Esposito and David Cain.
