Actress-comedienne Tuesday Vargas responded to online criticism after she was mocked for hosting a bingo event at a hotel, emphasizing that there is dignity in honest work.

The backlash came after Vargas shared her experience on Facebook, where some users ridiculed her for accepting a hosting job for a bingo event, with others leaving laughing reactions on her post.

She highlighted the positive reception she received from attendees, particularly mothers who appreciated her performance.

Ni nde binasa ang back story ko about it, walang interest sa life story mo ke nakaka inspire yan or what. Basta ang goal nila sirain ang buhay mo,” she added.

Addressing critics who belittled her work, Vargas defended her profession and underscored the importance of earning through dignified means.

“Bakit ikinakahiya nyo ang trabaho ko? Ako nga may dignidad akong humaharap sa tao dahil yang hiya hiya ay di nakaka bili ng bigas,” she said.

Despite the criticism, the actress maintained that she remains proud of her work and will not be shamed by detractors.

“So tawagin nyo na ako kung anong gusto nyo. All I know is that I am good at my job and I love what I do, I will forever be grateful for it. You will not succeed in making me feel ashamed of my hustle. Hahaha!” she said.

In the comments section of her post, Vargas revealed that she earned P100,000 for hosting the bingo event.

Prior to the controversy, Vargas had also addressed potential criticism about her work, reiterating her stance on the value of honest labor.

Respect the hustle, guys. Maayos, marangal at malinis na pera ito,” she said.

Vargas had earlier expressed her need for projects and work opportunities. Following her post, she has since taken on various hosting gigs, including children’s parties.
