Actor Carlo Aquino took to social media to express his frustration not only over a week-long internet outage in his area, but also over the delayed progress of the Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7), particularly the unused train cars.

Aquino first shared a series of messages on his Instagram Story regarding repeated service interruptions from their internet provider, writing, “It’s getting a bit frustrating.”
The actor, who lives with his wife Charlie Dizon, then posted photos of idle train cars intended for MRT-7, which have yet to be utilized as the railway project remains incomplete.
“Nabulok na lang hindi pa din nagagamit,” Aquino wrote in the caption, lamenting the apparent deterioration of the unused trains.
The MRT-7 project, a 22-kilometer railway line, is designed to run from North Avenue (Common Station) in Quezon City to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Despite being conceptualized as early as the administration of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and formally contracted in 2008, the project has faced multiple delays across successive administrations.
Construction was initiated in April 2016 during the Aquino administration and continued under the Duterte administration’s ‘Build, Build, Build’ program. It remains ongoing under President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.’s ‘Build, Better, More’ initiative.
In a previous statement in June 2025, former Department of Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon expressed confidence in the project’s completion timeline.
“Kampanteng-kampante na ako na matatapos ang MRT-7 bago matapos ang termino ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos. Kaya by 2027, masasakyan na ito ng ating mga kababayan,” Dizon said.
