Kapuso actor Will Ashley shared that he and Mika Salamanca have grown even closer in recent months, describing their bond as one built on a “strong foundation” after working together.

Speaking during the 9th Entertainment Editors’ Choice Awards (The EDDYS), Will said he genuinely enjoys spending time with Mika and appreciates the connection they developed while filming the series ‘Hotel 88’.
“We are good po. Enjoy namin company ng isa’t isa. Sobrang naging close kami, lalo na nu’ng nag-lock in sa ‘Hotel 88.’ Kaya na-build namin strong foundation sa kung ano man relationship namin,” he said.
Although romance rumors continue to surround the two, Will stopped short of confirming the real status of their relationship.
Will also had nothing but kind words for Mika, commending her dedication to her work and expressing his desire to collaborate with her again in future projects.
“Si Mika, very focused siya sa work and craft niya. So gusto ko siya maka-work.”
He likewise said he remains open to the possibility of being paired with Mika on-screen if the opportunity comes.
Despite the growing public interest in his closeness with Mika, Will clarified that he is also open to working again with his former on-screen partner Bianca de Vera.
“We never know, for now wala pang opportunity,” he said.
The actor emphasized that his friendship with Bianca remains intact despite pursuing separate projects.
“Oo naman. We are good friends. Hindi naman po mawawala ‘yun. Tagal din namin nagsama sa loob ng bahay. Para talaga kaming magkakaibigan na nag-renta sa isang bahay.”
Will also shared that he hopes to attend the upcoming DustBia ‘Love, Actually’ Fan Meet featuring Bianca and Dustin Yu, provided his schedule allows it.
Will and Mika have been the subject of dating speculation for months after eagle-eyed fans spotted them traveling together to Hong Kong and Thailand.
The rumors intensified when photos of the pair in Bangkok circulated online. However, both previously clarified that the viral images were not intended as a “hard launch” of a romantic relationship, explaining that they merely joined a trending social media concept.

Aside from addressing questions about his personal life, Will also celebrated a major career milestone after winning Best Supporting Actor at the 9th EDDYS.
He shared the honor with singer-songwriter and actor Rico Blanco, adding another achievement to his steadily growing acting career.
