Social media personality Meiko Montefalco has strongly denied allegations linking her to the alleged disappearance of her estranged husband, Patrick Bernardino, after an appeal from his family went viral on social media.
The controversy began after Elaine Miranda shared a Facebook post on behalf of Patrick’s family, claiming that he has been missing for more than a year.
The post, quoting Patrick’s father Rick Bernardino, alleged that Patrick was last seen on June 19, 2025, when he was reportedly picked up by Meiko, her sibling Maiko Abdula, and another individual identified as Merli Ador.
The post read, in part: “Missing! Patrick Bernardino!”
It continued: “Sinundo nila Meiko kasama ng kapatid nyang si Maiko Abdula at Merli Ador noong June 19, 2025. Mula noon dina masabi ni Meiko asan anak ko pati mga kapatid nya labis nagaalala patay naba o buhay pa kanilang kapatid. Kaming pamilya ay labis nagdurusa at nag aalala dahil 1 taon na mahigit na hindi namin nakita si Patrick.”
Rick Bernardino also claimed that Meiko had admitted in court that Patrick was with her but allegedly failed to disclose his whereabouts.
According to Miranda, she posted the appeal at the request of Patrick’s father and family with the permission of their lawyer.
In response, Montefalco issued a statement on Facebook on Monday, Aug. 3, categorically denying the accusations and insisting that Patrick is not missing.
“YOU KNOW THE TRUTH.”
“He is NOT missing!”
She further claimed that Patrick’s family had already filed a case against her last year, but it was dismissed due to lack of basis.
“Nagfile na kayo ng kaso sakin last year, nadismiss dahil walang basehan.”
“If you want a round two, let the LAW be the judge, once again.”
Montefalco also reflected on the hardships she said she endured during her relationship with Patrick, adding that she has been raising their children on her own.
“I lost almost everything during my relationship with him.”
“Mula noon hanggang ngayon, mag-isa kong itinataguyod yong mga anak ko.”
“Ako lang ngayon. MAG-ISA.”
She appealed for compassion, particularly for the sake of her children, amid the public scrutiny.
“Ngayong kinukuyog ako ng mundo, gagawin niyo sa akin yan kahit pinatunayan ko na sarili ko.”
“Magkaroon kayo ng awa kahit sa mga anak ko na lang.”
“Sa korte tayo magkita kita.”
The issue comes more than a year after Montefalco publicly accused Patrick of infidelity, a controversy that drew significant attention online in 2025.
As of this writing, Patrick Bernardino’s family has yet to issue a public response to Montefalco’s latest statement.
