Kris Aquino comes back to her home network with a new movie with one of the most prominent love team, JoshLia. She also posted a series of live feed videos and announced the news. She also signed an exclusive contract with Star Cinema.
I Love You Hater already has a target play date on June 13, Wednesday.
Kris shared that she accepted the offer as she had loved Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto’s movies. Joshua and Julia starred in Unexpectedly Yours with Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla. However, Kris favored Love You to the Stars and Back. Kris also revealed that they have such chemistry that she wanted to experience it firsthand.
“I super duper loved Love You To The Stars and Back… Both of you have onscreen magic. That’s why I said yes.”
Kris commended Joshua and Julia’s acting skills. She expressed her admiration for the couple.
“Julia is really an actress, and Joshua has that special charisma that comes once in a generation.”
I Love You Hater will be Kris’ first movie for after three years. Metro Manila Film Festival 2015 official entry All You Need Is Pag-ibig became her last movie. The said movie was under the direction of Antoinette Jadaone. In earlier reports, Kris will also have a cameo role in the Hollywood adaptation of Crazy Rich Asians which will show in cinemas in August.
